We started Kogi as a food truck at the fish market with a desire to bring the taste of Korea to Bergen. For me, I missed the food from my home country a lot, and I wanted to share the authentic dishes I had grown up with. Together with Leif, we decided to make this dream a reality. It was both exciting and a little scary to start something new, but when we saw how well the people of Bergen received our food, I was so happy. It was an incredible feeling to see the guests coming back time and time again, and it gave us the belief that we could take the next step.

This success gave us the courage to open our first restaurant.
