Lake Farris
Larvik

Despite its location by the coast, Farris is a fresh water lake that serves as a source of drinking water for 200,000 people. The lake is dammed by a moraine that was left behind after the last Ice Age, trapping the glacial waters inland. With its many islands, this narrow lake feeds poetic thought with its scenic beauty. Hiking along the shores of the lake is a popular activity.
There are many great swimming spots in Lake Farris. Both beach and soft rocks to relax on and jump in the water from. Going for a late night swim at the end of the summer is something magical.
