Our store in Stavanger is located nearby Vågen, right in the middle of the city centre. On our 1st floor you will find a various collection of souvenirs, gifts and interior for your home. In our 2nd floor you find our own “Julehuset” (Christmas shop), which is open all year!

Traditional arts and crafts
Audhild Viken manages and communicates the rich and diverse Norwegian arts and crafts heritage. Norwegians have been crafting objects for centuries, both for daily use and decoration. Main materials are wood, wool and stone.

Besides that, Norway has a long and versatile tradition in silver jewelry crafting. Since before the Viking age, silver has been an important part of welfare, trading and cultural heritage. In our shops you can find a variety of wooden objects, gifts inspired by old Norwegian designs and a broad selection of renowned Norwegian jewelry brands.

An art and crafts pioneer
Audhild Viken was a pioneer in arts and crafts, not only in the Sogn og Fjordane county, also in the rest of Norway. Her achievement at the loom is well known, but her lifework is also connected to the marketing and sale of the handicraft products.

The biggest difficulty for arts and crafts in Norway has not been the production itself, but making the goods available to the buyers, a field where Audhild Viken did pathbreaking work. Through this achievement she contributed to the foundation of an important trade in rural Norway.
