Vertshuset Skarven consists of five different restaurants / eateries that share a common passion for good ingredients and good conversations. Our menus have something for every taste and you are most welcome to visit us. The Skarven Inn, which consists of Skarven Kro and Skarven Bar on the 1st floor, the seafood restaurant Arctandria and Skarven Grill on the 2nd floor, while on top of the building we find the Culinary Theater.

Skarven Grill (Biffhuset)
Biffhuset is a restaurant with long and proud traditions as part of Vertshuset Skarven down by the waterfront in central Tromsø. The place has been serving traditional and inspiring food for decades, using local ingredients and food traditions to create genuine experiences for the city’s tourists and visitors. The restaurant has a total capacity of 59 guests and also has its own private room that can be reserved.

Arctandria
At Arctandria Seafood Restaurant at Vertshuset Skarven, seafood takes center stage. We can tempt you with delicacies from the sea in Northern Norway, along with a fantastic atmosphere and cozy premises. In other words, it’s the perfect place for an unforgettable dining experience. We also have other options than seafood on the menu, such as reindeer meat.
The restaurant has a capacity of 74 guests.

Skarven Bar
Skarven Bar at Vertshuset Skarven is a classic and cozy bar for those who want to have a drink, preferably before or after eating at any of Vertshuset Skarven’s other facilities. We can accommodate up to 50 guests in a charming and authentic setting and serve local beverages as well as international classics.

Skarven Kro
Skarven Kro at Vertshuset Skarven is a pleasant and social meeting place with a long history in Tromsø. Exciting events are held on a regular basis.
The place is fully licensed both inside and out. Here you will also be served simple snacks such as seaweed and shellfish soup, fresh mussels, delicious shrimp sandwiches and Bayergryte – plus freshly baked waffles, lefse and much more. Skarven Kro has a capacity of up to 140 guests.

Culinary Theater
Culinary Theater is an interactive restaurant experience for those seeking a culinary, fun and social gathering. With long tables we can seat 22 guests and if we use round tables we can seat 44 guests. Culinary Theatre is perfect for all types of events where you want to create memorable events and courses together with an experienced theater manager.
