MUSEUMS & ATTRACTIONS
Trondheim – historically Kaupangen, Nidaros and Trondhjem is the third largest city in Norway and home of The Nidaros Cathedral – the world’s northernmost medieval cathedral and Norway’s national sanctuary.
The first bridge here was built in 1681, to provide easy access from the city to Kristiansten Fortress. The current bridge was designed by Carl Adolf Dahl, and erected in 1861. It is known to locals as “The portal of joy”.
