Trondheim – historically Kaupangen, Nidaros and Trondhjem is the third largest city in Norway and home of The Nidaros Cathedral – the world’s northernmost medieval cathedral and Norway’s national sanctuary.
Stiftsgården is the royal residence in Trondheim, Norway. It is centrally situated on the city’s most important thoroughfare, Munkegaten.
With 140 rooms constituting 4000 m², it is possibly the largest wooden building in Northern Europe, and it has been used by royalty and their guests since 1800.
