EKT is a “farm in the city” with various activities for the whole family: Animal Park, pony rides, horseback riding classes and more. We can also offer horse & carriage rides, sleigh rides in wintertime, birthday parties among the animals with pony riding. Contact us to book.

Animal Park
Visit the horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, geese, chickens, peacocks, ducks, swans and other swimming birds. All the animals walk around on the area, and like being petted by children.

Pony riding
Pony riding for children every day, Mon-Sun, all year round (no appointment needed).

Riding center
Established in 1954, EKT riding center and petting zoo is one of the most experienced and largest riding centers in Norway with over 30 ponies and horses and over 450 regular pupils every week. Most classes are for children and young people, on all levels. Various classes such as general horse riding with a focus on dressage, ground work for jumping, vaulting, horseback trips in the forest, general training in grooming and saddling, as well as drop-in in the weekends. We have a professional physiotherapist that gives riding lessons to over 70 physically and mentally disabled people every week.

Our riding principles are based on thorough basic training in how to balance your body on the horse, how to sit correctly and build up a feeling for riding through rhythm, balance and pace.
