Larvik Golfklubb ble stiftet 20. juni 1989. Klubben er medlem av Norges Golfforbund (NGF), av Norges idrettsforbund og olympiske og paralympiske komité (NIF) gjennom Vestfold og Telemark idrettskrets og av Larvik idrettsråd.

Golfklubben har ca. 1 250 medlemmer og har Fritzøe Gård Golfbane som sin “hjemmebane”.

Klubben har stått som arrangør av flere større turneringer, både nasjonale og internasjonale, bl.a. NM junior (Srixon Tour) 2023, NM funksjonshemmede og døve (2018), ESGA herrer (EM herrer senior) 2016, Larvik Ladies Open 2015 (LET Access Series/Nordea Tour), Marisa Sgaravetti (EM damer senior) 2013, NM junior (Titleist Tour) 2012, Norwegian Open både i 2011 og i 2010 (EDGA – European Disabled Golf Association), SAS Ladies Masters i 2009 (Ladies European Tour), Sony Ericsson Open 2007 (Nordic League/P4 Tour), Lexus Open i 2006 (European Challenge Tour), lag-NM junior 2006 og Gant Open 2004 (P4 Tour).
LGK har årlig vært arrangørklubb av forbundsturneringer som Garmin Norgescup og Srixon Tour.
