Kvilhaugen Gård

Venerable Kvilhaugen Gård was built in 1820, celebrating its 200 year anniversary in 2020! We are one of Trondheim’s largest restaurant houses with 450 seats. The farm is located above Øvre Singsaker (Upper Singsaker) and has a great view over the city. The kitchen combines good old-fashioned cuisine with contemporary flavors to the best for our guests.

We want to welcome all kinds of events and parties, both formal and informal – we have rooms suitable for all. With broad experience and expertise, we tailor your event so that you and your guests have a pleasant experience.

The Wedding day is one of the most important days in life. A day you will always think back at and remember. Therefore, choose your place of celebration with care. We at Kvilhaugen Gård have long experience and professional expertise to make your special day unforgettable, by providing you with good ideas and good advices for carrying out the dream wedding.

Good planning is essential for the day to flow well. We want all bridal couples to meet both during the planning phase and eventually for a review of the day so we are sure things will be as agreed and planned.

On the wedding day, the bridal couple should sit back and enjoy every second without worrying about food, drink, next speeches, cakes, gifts, pictures etc. We take care of that!

If you want a different wedding ceremony, this is possible on the lawn with the city and the fjord in the background. We will be responsible for setting up chairs, tables, red carpets etc. Location fee is NOK 5500, –

We adapt to the bridal couple’s wishes and tailor each wedding package. Feel free to contact us for a quote on EXACTLY what you want prices for. Most people choose welcome drinks, a three-course menu, wine to the food, coffee / avec and pastries. Furthermore, it is possible to order mingle food on arrival, snacks, night food, chair covers, vouchers and more.

Visit our menu to see our 4 suggestions for a 3 course menu. You are free to switch between the menus and put together the desired 3 dishes – but you must choose the same menu for all the guests. Of course, we take into account allergies and other special needs for food, which must be stated in advance of the wedding. We also offer tasting of the desired 3-course menu. Time for this is agreed after the menu is set.

How much beverages should we serve during dinner? Most people find it difficult to calculate, but we will work out a plan and agree on how to solve this. It is important for the wedding guests to feel taken care of while the bridal couple is comfortable with the budget.

We work with Mikalsen Bakery at Tyholt so we can help with cake wishes. Many bring their own cakes and this is of course possible. There will be a cake supplement of NOK. 30, – per person if we provide the cakes. We want all the cakes to be finished decorating on arrival, except for cakes that are “ruined” if they stand for a whole day. In these cases, bring finished cream, fruit, cake separately and our chefs will arrange this.

We provide white tablecloths, white cloth napkins and candles. Other decor must be proveided by the bride and groom – flower arrangements, table cards, guestbook, menus etc. If the room is vacant the night before you can come in and decorate after the tables are set. If the room is occupied, there is no problem – you deliver the decor to us and we will arrange it. Maybe just as well to put away what you can the day before so you can lower your shoulders and look forward to the big day?

We have great contacts when it comes to both troubadours and DJs and can help you with that. Both in the barn and in the main house there are good music facilities that you can use for playlists if desired.
